GUYS!
I have a lot going on…
Comics, some animation, watching my girls grow up too fast *sob*.
So, let’s get into it!
PROMOOOOTION!
Alright, number one… is NUMBER TWO - That’s Flash Gordon number 2! ON SALE NOW!
I’m having a fun time writing this pulp sci-fi adventure. I love seeing Will Conrad’s art come in. It’s SO good! I know that I’m getting into something as a writer, when my idle thoughts return to the story over and over. A big THANKS to those buying and reading the book. MEANS a lot!
UNBOXING ANYONE?
GREEN LANTERN 15!
Thus ends the Green Lantern tie-ins with Absolute Power, and dare I say that, it was an absolute blast (har har). Especially to get a chance and work with Fernando Pasarin again. He’s one of my favorite people/artists.
WHAT I’M BUYING
Here’s another little video I posted on my socials for a really cool DESK spinner rack from a company called WHAMSTAND
WHAT’S NEXT?
October is fast approaching. I’ll be headed to two more conventions, which will be my LAST of the year.

CRAFT SERVICES
I’ve been thinking a lot about perseverance.
My first credit came after being in Los Angeles for over ten years. Ten years of just grinding away. Working jobs that made me crazy (ie: retail, assistant, tour guide) - But always in the back of my head I kept looking for a way “In.”
It almost feels like you’re trying to break out of jail. It seems impossible, but you’ve occasionally seen someone do it. So you KNOW it IS possible.
Knowing it’s possible is a huge motivator. It helps you through the day of breaking rocks in the yard. It’s the HOPE that keeps you there.
I remember a quote about Rod Serling, that he had written over thirty scripts before he sold one. Early on, I decided that was my number. I was going to write 30 scripts! If I got a job writing before that, awesome. But I was sure, if it worked for Rod, it would work for me (I think I got to ten before Green Lantern the animated series came along.)
I also had a friend that gave himself a time limit. “Ten years”, he said. “If I don’t make it in ten years, I’m out!”
That type of pressure sometimes produces diamonds. It did for him. Now he’s running shows and working all over the place.
My point to you, is, you’ll get your chance. Probably a couple. But you have to persevere. You have to stick with it even if you have to get a job you don’t like to pay the bills. Even if your family doesn’t believe in you and wants you to come home. Just set it in your mind…your heart…that you’re staying…no matter what.
SIDENOTE: Don’t chase the gold, but chase the story being told.
I’ve been coming across people that ONLY want to write for some sort of riches or glory. It IS a temptation. But at the end of the day, I write, because I like stories. My imagination RACES with a billion ideas and I have a compulsion to put them down.
The best things I’ve written aren’t because , “I can’t wait to sell this!” instead, it’s because “I can’t wait to tell this.” See the difference?
All of us have unique stories to tell. I can’t wait to see yours. So… PERSEVERE and write something you love.
Jeremy
